Two textile parks for J&K State with Centre's assistance

Centre will provide an assistance of Rs. 30 crore to the state for setting up of two textile parks, one each in Srinagar and Jammu. Also six food parks and two mega Food Processing Parks one each in Srinagar and Jammu would be set up in the state.
This was stated by Minister of State for Industries and Commerce Mr. Raman Mattoo who called on Union Textiles Minister Mr. Shankersinh Vagela and Union Minister of State for Food Processing Mr. Subodh Kant Sahay at New Delhi today.
Centre has agreed to provide a financial assistance of Rs. 30 crore to the state for setting up of these textile parks and Rs. 10 crore for setting up of each food processing park and Rs. 60 crore for each mega Food Processing Park.
Mr. Mattoo said that the setting up of these mega infrastructural projects will boost tremendous employment opportunities in the state besides making available a variety of foods to the connoisseurs of food in the State.
