Climate postpones Businesswomen Mela

Due to windstorm and rain, 'Businesswomen Mela' organized by Rawalpindi-Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RIWCCI) has ended in disappointing note.
Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed inaugurated the mela, but was postponed because of bad weather.
Standing Committee of RIWCCI alleged Met Office for misinformation provided by them on climate.
Cancellation of last day's event has also resulted in financial losses to organizers.
A financial assistance of PKR50,000 is also offered by Minister during the inauguration of mela.
Minister also asked women to display their products in railway stations that can help in promoting art and increase income earned from it.
He also offered discounts on train tickets for women coming from rural area to participate in the event.
Businesswomen Mela has approximately 70 stalls, which display clothes, pottery, bags, jewellery, footwear, shawls, purses etc.
