The Chief Minister said that to have qualified workers for various industries was essential.
For this purpose industrial units should collaborate with industrial training institutes, polytechnics and engineering colleges to train youngsters before they finish their courses at the institutes, he said.
Karunanidhi said during the last 10 months eight major industrial houses have committed to invest over Rs 7000 crore in the state. These would generate 37,000 direct and 60,000 indirect jobs, he said.
