Last year, China's garment industry grew by 8 percent, sales growth marked 10 percent and exports earned 95.19 billion yuan.
However, China Garment Association Executive Vice President Jiang Heng Jie is still concerned about the market situation this year. In his view, market challenges for garment industry will be more intense in 2007, and innovation is the best weapon for the whole industry to deal with those challenges.
Last year, the garment industry reported strong encouraging news that a piece of clothing was sold at 485,000 yuan, equal to the price of a car, therefore, brand impact and the amount of money gave the best expression.
Heng Jie said that garment enterprises should pay attention to the terminal consumer market build and innovation. Many brands have been trying to join brand chains. Garment enterprises should also be aware of sincerity and self-discipline in operation this year.
