Several technical problems had obstructed second facility in the Oman, Sohar Oil Refinery (SOR), to reach its complete production capacity, until recently.
Finally, the company assured that all problems had been resolved and the refinery started operating at full force of 116,400 barrels per day on Sunday.
Domestic sale and exports are expected to begin soon in joint venture with Oil Refinery (OOR).
The facility will also supply propylene crude for the polypropylene plant in Sohar.
SOR is also hoping that its merger conclusion with Muscat-based Oman Refinery Company (ORC) will open big prospects.
