Local RMG ind can be substitute for Chinese products, Weldon

Curt Weldon, the member of House of Representatives, stated at a press conference, that US wants to build strategic relation with Bangladesh and utilize its geographical and demographical position.
The US delegation visited Bangladesh to promote investment and assist the government and private enterprises to develop their operations.
The US Congressman gave assurance that they would provide support to Bangladeshi products for duty-free access to US market.
Weldon said "Bangladesh is now a booming economy and we are here to help you to boost it further and also want to work with you to develop your private sector".
Weldon also noted that Bangladeshi readymade garment can become an alternative to Chinese products in the US market and can become its primary supplier.
