Set up ETP to reduce pollution, urges Govt

A meeting was arranged between Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) and the agriculture and environment advisers to discuss problems of environment of pollution.

Adviser C S Karim, Geeteara Safiya Chowdhury and Environment Secretary Nurul Amin discussed issues of installing effluent-treatment plant (ETP) and other related problems in the meeting.

The advisors asked the factory owners to set up ETP within six months to neutralize the industrial wastes that affect the environment and people.
