Textile industry in a fix with rise of electricity tariff

Recently, Government has increased the electricity tariff by 10 percent. This act will affect most industries of the country including the textile.
The All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA), along with Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers Association, Pakistan Association of Industrial Traders and Lahore Chamber condemned this law.
The textile industry is already facing problems of extra cost in unscheduled breakdowns, load shedding, and machinery damages due to low voltage. This increase in tariff will add to its predicament.
This situation will affect Pakistan's competitiveness and erode its share in the global arena.
