China has emerged world fastest growing economy and Zimbabwe is eager to exploit its huge potential market.
At the recently held Zimbabwe-China Business Council seminar in Harare, Ambassador to China, Christopher Mutsvangwa, claimed that domestic products had the potential to attract Chinese consumers and attract a larger market share.
He assured that if industries took advantage of the existing bilateral agreements and trade relations, Zimbabwe promised opportunities that will make it major trading centre in Africa for Chinese.
Mutsvangwa added that China had expressed keen interest in investing here, especially in Zimbabwe's prominent industries like textile cotton and tobacco.
However, he also noted, "We are doing very little as a country to grab the vast business opportunities presented by China through the numerous trade and bilateral agreements signed between the two governments."
