Jewelry designer Suhani Pittie to be invited to Miami Fashion Week

Miami Fashion Week, the official fashion event for the City of Miami and the largest Latin American fashion event in the US, explodes onto the scene with over 70 of the world's most talented fashion designers in women's eveningwear and prêt-a-porter, men's wear, jewelry and accessories from April 13-16, 2007.

Staged at The Wynwood Pavilion in Miami's new Wynwood Arts District, this four day event brings together fashion, beauty, music and art with a crossover of international style and culture from designers, featuring Susan Elias' 2008 Spring Collection, Indian jewelry designer Suhani Pittie, Venezuelan designer Algimiro Palencia and the first-ever Barcelona Design Lounge.

Susan Elias will preview her 2008 Spring Collection “Better Contemporary to Couture,” during the exclusive Miami Style Showcase, April 13th. The 2008 Spring Collection offers layers upon layers of whimsical design and oceanic inspirations birthed by Susan's experience in Turks & Caicos.

Silk tulle, intricate rouching and beading, and hand-painted chiffon, compose these original, unique creations. Complimented for her “playful elegance,” Susan Elias caters to the modern woman who seeks a fusion of fresh, wearable designs and timeless couture elements.

Susan Elias' introduction to the fashion industry began at her grandfather's knee in his Manila garment factory. From her schooling at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, to her own businesses in Chicago and Miami, Elias is constantly pushing the boundaries of her own creativity.
