Industry interaction with EADS with particular reference to offset

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing an Interaction with the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) with Particular Reference to Offset on 4th April 2007 at 1000 hrs at Hotel Taj Palace, (Shahjehan Hall) Sardar Patel Marg, New Delhi.
EADS is a global leader in aerospace, defence and related services. The Group includes the aircraft manufacturer Airbus, the world's largest helicopter supplier Eurocopter and EADS Astrium, the European leader in space programmes from Ariane to Galileo.
EADS is the major partner in the Eurofighter consortium, develops the A400M military transport aircraft, and holds a stake in the joint venture MBDA, the international leader in missile systems.
EADS is present in India through a fully owned subsidiary EADS India Pvt Ltd registered in 2006 to lead the development of the Group in India. EADS is developing an industrial strategy aiming at establishing a strong industrial footprint in India to benefit from the Indian industrial and R&D resources and to support its marketing actions.
Air Cmde (Retd) Jasjit Singh AVSM,Vrc,VM Director, Centre for Air Power Studies and Mr. Yves Guillaume, CEO, EADS India Pvt Ltd, will deliver the Inaugural address at 1005 hrs.
Other important participants include: (EADS Session) Mr. Gerard Franchini, Head of Department – Offsets and International Cooperation; Mr. Gabriel Alonso, Head – Offset and Asset Management; Mr. Ghislain de la Sayette, Regional Export Director; Mr. Guenther Och, Head – Industrial Cooperation & Offset; Mr. Stefan Moser, Head of Industrial Programmes; Mr. Guy Fremond, Head of Offset & Industrial Cooperation and (Offset Session) Dr.(Mrs) Kiran Chadha, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence, among others.
