South India Small Spinners Association (SISSPA) has expressed deep concern over the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) decision to hike cotton prices by Rs1000 per candy.
SISSPA explained that this move will encourage private traders increase prices, upsetting the plans of small and medium sized spinners.
Officials further say that if CCI repeatedly increases rates, many traders and middlemen would create false shortage and resort to other such illegal activities to earn fast money
