Bahama Hand Prints celebrates 40 years of screen printed fabrics

Bahama Hand Prints is celebrating their 40th year in business with a limited edition re-run of their classic signature fabric print "Sea Treasure," circa 1970. Presenting an assortment of ocean jewels, this vintage print embodies all that is typically, and famously, Bahama Hand Prints at its best - fabric designs that are colorfully radiant representations of tropical life.

Boasting a repertoire of over 50 hand printed designs, the company creatively combines the shapes and textures of native fruits, sea creatures, flowers and trees with hues of the ocean, striking shades of native flora and fauna, and colonial pastels so typical of Caribbean life.

The result is a vibrant range of unique fabrics, home decor accessories and clothing that is making its name with the style-conscious from West Coast to East.

Perhaps it's the possibility of custom colors on every run, or the elegance of this exciting and unique product, that is attracting interior designers to incorporate these materials into tropical home decors.

Co-partner Joie Lamare says, "We like to offer our clients a sophisticated interpretation of the Caribbean that will fit with their setting ... something different that is not seen in every coastal home, or sun-kissed patio, something that depicts the 'happiness and sunshine' in life."

Noted Palm Beach interior designer Jack Fhillips is capitalizing on this advantage to incorporate this unique line into the interiors of his multi-million-dollar estate client list. Meanwhile, Mario Buatta, affectionately known as "Prince of Chintz," and exponent of the "undecorated look," incorporated the company's "Fronds" fabric into a Biscayne Bay home which was featured in the June 2006 edition of Architectural Digest.
