The Ministry of Small Scale Industries is organizing sensitisation/awareness programmes at various locations throughout the country through its field offices, i.e. the Small Industries Service Institutes (SISIs) to increase awareness about the Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (CLCSS) among the beneficiary/ prospective beneficiary units and other stakeholders.

The Government has also proposed to organize more sensitisation programmes, especially in areas where no such programme has been conducted so far.

In these programmes, the SISIs associate the nodal agencies i.e. the SIDBI and the NABARD, industry associations, State Government Department and Agencies, Banks and Financial Institutions, so as to make collective efforts in sensitizing the participants about all aspects of the CLCSS, including the operational and modalities issues.

A Governing and Technology Approval Board under the chairmanship of the Secretary, SSI and ARI is already in place to monitor the progress made in the implementation of the CLCSS and to bring suitable policy changes to make the scheme more focused and result oriented.

In order to ensure more effective flow of subsidy to the eligible beneficiaries and to reduce the average time lag between filing of the request and release of subsidy under the CLCSS, nine new nodal banks/agencies have been included in addition to the existing nodal agencies i.e. the SIDBI and the NABARD.

These banks/agencies havealso been requested to undertake sensitisation programmes/ awareness campaign for the successful implementation of the CLCSS.
