Domestic terylene & its compound silk prices up

Rise in the prices of polyester raw materials has impacted terylene filature industry in China.
A group of terylene filature enterprises held meeting where it was decided that all enterprises raise prices of terylene and terylene compound silk.
As a result, prices of terylene and terylene compound silk increased by about RMB250 per ton in Chinese markets.
Average price is about RMB14,000 per ton; however, the price hike has not affected sales as records have been bettered over the past several weeks.
Moreover, imitation silk fabric has good sales potential. Though terylene and terylene compound silk are suitable to make imitation silk fabric, demand for household textile fabric also continues to rise as May is a major season for purchase of household textile fabric.
