With a touch of pink for Mother's Day, Moore College of Art & Design's Spring Fashion Show 2007 takes the runway, Sunday, May 13 at 6 pm at The Hyatt at Penn's Landing. The fashion extravaganza features innovative collections and designs by senior, junior and sophomore students of Moore's acclaimed fashion design department.
Designs include swimwear, sportswear, bridal and evening wear, children's wear and men's wear. Seating is limited; advance purchase is recommended.
This year's show has a meaningful twist and a touch of pink for Mother's Day. The Fashion Show finale highlights a collection of pink evening gowns designed by seniors. The gowns will be sold in July at "The Black & White Ball with a Touch of Pink," a benefit for the Jefferson Breast Care Center.
A panel of judges will give out awards for "Best in Show" and "Most Saleable Collection" at the show. Fashion critics, who work with the students throughout the semester, also give out awards.
The panel of judges and critics for the Spring Fashion Show 2007 include many successful Moore alumnae representing many notable labels in the fashion industry. Alex De Yonge '02, Fashion Designer, Novelties for Diane von Furstenberg Studio, L.P. is among the judges.
Critics include Anna Gusinde '01, Delta Intl.; Toby Markulin '89, Mystic Swimwear; Kim Shellock '00, Abercrombie and Fitch; Lynette Kirk '91, LL Bean; and Lisa Parmer '97.
