Exports rise 48% in 2006-07 period

Export of Industrial goods
During the mentioned months of the previous Iranian Calendar year, more than 7.1 million tons of industrial goods worthy of 5 billion and $99 million have been exported to the foreign countries which demonstrate 2.4% and 18.2% of rise in weight and value respectively. The average price of one ton of the mentioned items reached $713.5 with 15.5 percent of growth in comparison.

Export of petrochemical goods
During the period under consideration, 14.2 million tons of petrochemical products worthy of $6.1 billion have been exported to abroad which indicates 115.7% and 140.8 percent of rise in weight and value respectively.

Liquid gases (propane, butane...), polyethylene, methanol, kinds of benzene, and kinds of bitumen were the five main items in this group with allocation of 81 percent of total value of petrochemical exports.

Export of Agricultural produces
During the aforementioned period, more than $2 billion of agricultural produces have been exported which demonstrates 25.4 percent of rise. The weight of agricultural produces reached 1.5 million tons with rise of 43.8 percent.

Export of carpet and handicrafts
During the period under study, the value of exported handicrafts with 17.7 percent of fall reached $527.5 million. Hand woven carpet with 12.4% of fall allocated $405.4 million of exports in the mentioned group. Precious stones and metals were the other main items of this group.
