Government of South Africa has formally approved cancellation of the anti-dumping tariff on Chinese towels and face cloth from February 8, 2007. In general, the tariff rate of towels and face cloths exported to South Africa is 30 percent.
Because of the anti-dumping tariff from South Africa on Chinese towels and face cloths, Chinese towels and face cloths' export to South Africa has dropped remarkably.
Now, the experts pointed out that domestic towels and face cloths manufacturers have a good opportunity to enlarge export to South Africa, and the local related associations have begun to help local towels and face cloths manufacturers to enlarge the export to African areas.
