French Spring opens with 'Blue-White-Red' fashion show

French spring has arrived in Hanoi with a fashion show named 'Blue-White-Red' held at Hotel Sofitel on May 13, Sunday.
The fashion show, 'Blue-White-Red' was jointly organized by the Embassy of France, French Culture Centre, L'Espace, Vietnam Textile Corporation (Vinatex) and the Sofitel Hotel, where the core activities of the first France Spring Festival will take place.
The Festival which will run from May 12 to June 30, is offering the people of Vietnam with Europe's trendiest fashion.
Three Vietnamese young designers, Truong Anh Vu, Vu Thu Giang and Vu Viet Ha showcased about 60 collections in three colour blue, white and red.
Anh Vu from Phuong Dong's collection 'Blue' was romantic and elegant with decorations of Mong ethnic minority people's brocade. 'White' designs of Vu Viet Ha were inspired from the spring's rain and impressed audience. The 'Red' patterns of Vu Thu Giang were the combination of the Asian identity and classical but modern European style.
Organizers believe that the France Spring Festival in Vietnam would help to bridge cultural interaction between the two countries through exhibitions of designers and artists. It is decided that from now on France Spring Festival will be organized once in every two years.
