The theme of this year's competition was “Rainy Days & Picnics,” and the contest was divided into two main categories, with each category broken down into two sub-categories: Apparel Design : students were asked to create rainwear products (ponchos, boots, umbrellas, coats, etc) •Print Design : Digitally-rendered print design collection •Product Design : Design collection & tangible end product Interior Design : students asked to create table linens (tablecloths, runners, placemats, napkins, picnic ensembles, place settings, etc) •Print Design : Digitally-rendered print design collection •Product Design : Design collection & tangible end product.
Entries were evaluated on color, texture, visual appeal, pleasure, aesthetics, reproducibility, and how these aspects relate to functionality.
