Uneventful week Cotton merchants reported on a quiet week. Often, price-ideas have continuously been diverging. A turnaround on the falling market is still not in sight. The number of inquiries had been marginal.
Contracts for prompt delivery had been closed for cotton from Central Asia, West- and East-Africa, USA, Greek and Sudan. For the 2nd quarter 2007 descriptions from USA, Sudan, Central Asia and East-Africa had been sold.
Raw material from East-Africa, USA, Sudan and Central Asia had been ordered for the 3rd quarter 2007. Orders for the 4th quarter 2007 could be satisfied by cotton from West-Africa and Central Asia. West-African cotton had also been sold for the 1st quarter 2008.
Concerning ELS, Egypt Giza 86, Central Asian descriptions and Sudan Barakat had been traded for near dates.
