Swift Spinning Inc, the cotton yarn manufacturer, headquartered in Columbus, Georgia, operating since 1906, has been sold to Blackstreet Capital Management, the Bethesda-based private equity fund.
Swift Spinning's yarns are used by renowned labels like Ralph Lauren Polo, Liz Claiborne, Tommy Hilfiger, Eddie Bauer, Sears.
Ric Miller, Chairman of Swift Spinning said that this new ownership has provided the company a second opportunity to strengthen its position as a world-class leader in quality cotton yarns.
