Buyer interest for downstream products slows down

June 4 Monday, PTA, MEG prices settled down, semi-dull and bright CDP prices continued to decline, PET bottle slice looked stable.

Polyester staple fiber prices declined.

Acrylic Staple fiber 1.5 D × 38mm and acrylic top 3D × 102mm prices uplifted. CPL, Nylon 6 chips went flat.

Viscose staple fiber price indicated stability.

Polyester filament prices were dull, transaction volume appeared as usual. Although market offers gave no waves, real trading prices were uneven. Weaving enterprises from downstream hold a wait-and-see attitude.

Recent procurement interest of raw materials from downstream is not high. Market participants think that the outlook of polyester filament is more likely to continue its weakening trend.

Prices of all cotton yarn and polyester-cotton yarn products remained unchanged, but the entire transaction volume of cotton yarn reduced compared with a few days ago. Price of 100 percent polyester yarn recorded no change from yesterday, but market transaction volume was small.

Rayon yarn showed signs of a stabilized trend, sales clearly dropped. Turnover of viscose yarn market was small.

Polyester staple fiber prices were weak. The outlook of polyester yarn is expected to trend downward.
