According to the latest customs statistics, in January-April 2007, China's spinning machinery imports amounted to US $277 million, an increase of 57.14 percent over the same period last year.
Of these exports, winding reeling machine imports reached $167 million, ranking the first, a boost of 144.59 percent over the corresponding time last year.
Imports of carding machines, roving machines, spinning machines and twisting machines declined in varying degrees compared to the same period of 2006, taking a share of 18.65 percent.
Import value of comber, fiber pretreatment machines, winding reeling machines and textile machinery for yarn production improved, accounting for 81.44 percent.
