For the first time in its 39 years of history, the next edition of TEXTILHOGAR moves its dates from January to September 2008 with the main objective to coincide its offer with the exhibitions which compose Habitat Valencia as a whole.

The change of dates, according to the president of TEXTILHOGAR, Mr. Nicolás Terol, during several meetings held with entrepreneurs of the Spanish home textile industry, will allow the show to give an effective response to the requirements of the market.

"The concentration of the demand and supply of home textile, the deficit of the balance of trade, the market saturation as well as the difficult existence of the retail stores natural clients of TEXTILHOGAR with the large surfaces and new distribution jeans, are many of the indicators which have made us propose the necessity to motivate a change in the show and change the direction of its business concept", says Mr. Terol.

That is how the initiative to make coexist in the same place Feria Valencia?s show of lighting, furniture, home decoration and home textiles.

"The idea is according to the president of TEXTILHOGAR to combine shows keeping TEXTILHOGAR´s identity, with the clear objective to combine synergies and satisfy consumers´ demand which not only buys furniture, lighting of textiles for the house but ideas and lifestyles".

Besides, according to a survey carried out amongst the trade visitors which attend the show each year, 50% of home textiles stores have broaden its range of supply offering non-textile products related to the decoration and gifts.
