Tirupur to hold Job Fair for textile in July

Jun '07
Tirupur textile industry's rapid growth is apparent by its need to organize a massive job fair.

The `Job Fair 2007' will be held at the India Knit Fair complex in Tirupur on July 28 to 29.

The event is organized by Coimbatore-based Axon Infosoft Group, which provides IT solutions to textile and apparel companies.

Although Tirupur textile industry's sale in last two years has shown a rosy picture doubling the trade by reaching to Rs11,000 crore a year, it is now facing a lot of labour scarcity.

The job fair aspires to meet the shortage of manpower that the industry is currently facing. This will serve as a platform for both job hunters and employers.

Around 75 employers and consultancy firms are expected to partake in the Job Fair 2007. Sources from the organizing company revealed that candidates from industrial, apparel and textile sector across the country would be participating in the event.
