Chamber to host press briefing

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce will host a press briefing on Monday, June 25th to discuss the latest developments on critical trade agenda items.

This briefing leads up to the signing of free trade agreements with Panama and Korea and the expiration of Presidential trade negotiating authority (TPA) and the Andean Trade Preferences Act (ATPA).

The United States will sign free trade agreements Panama and Korea on June 28 and June 30 respectively. Further, Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) and the Andean trade preferences for Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and Bolivia (ATPA) are both set to expire on June 30.

The Chamber is also urging Congress to take action on the U.S.-Peru Trade Promotion Agreement before the August recess.

The briefing will be led by the Chamber's Senior Director for International Policy, Christopher Wenk and Director for International Trade and Global Competitiveness, Nicole Venable.
