Fertichem orders Trützschler cards for new spinning unit

Indian yarn producer opens a new ring spinning facility close to Chandigarh with the installation and commissioning of seven Trützschler cards and blow room for denim production. The new unit is set to almost double its production of open end and ring spun yarns to 42 MT /day and bring the total of Trützschler cards to 20 in both operations.
Fertichem Cotspin has started producing ring spun yarns for denim production at its new purpose-built facility near Chandigarh following the installation of blow room and cards from Trützschler – including seven high performance TC 03 cards.
The decision to enter the ring spun yarn market was, according to the company's Vice President Mr Dharmendra Shah, initiated some three years ago, in a bid to provide more 'added value' products and to meet customer demands for 'softer feel' cotton yarns for fancy denim.
The Trützschler order followed the successful evaluation of two TC 03 card units installed in 2005 in the open yarn production unit.
“We have also enjoyed high quality sliver production from all 13 Trützschler cards including DK 803, DK 903 and DK 780's progressively installed over the past eight years” said Shah.
Yarns for denim production:
With business interests in plywood, laminates and leather shoes, the Singhal Family (Fertichem Group) entered the spinning market in 1999 specialising in open end yarn for denim producers; capitalising on Government incentives to establish spinning operations very close to Chandigarth.
