The men and women making deliveries for the Swiss postal service have been wearing c-change rain jackets since autumn 2006. The c_change membrane technology was also awarded the Avantex Innovation Prize 2007 in June in Frankfurt, Germany.
Compared to conventional breathable clothing, c_change offers a higher level of elasticity and reacts, as the only one of its kind, to climatic and moisture changes, facts honoured at the award ceremony by Urs Rüegsegger, jury member and CEO of the St.Gallen Kantonalbank. Furthermore, in all its production, Schoeller uses only first class and tested materials, as Rüegsegger went on to say.
In the view of the jury, Schoeller Textil AG deserves first prize, in recognition of "both the unique nature of the product c_change and the achievements of the company as a whole." The competition, which is in its sixth year, rewards outstanding entrepreneurial achievements with a pioneering character with an overall sum of 50,000 Swiss Francs.
With the KMUPrimus award, the St. Gallen Kantonalbank highlights three top corporate achievements every year whose innovative power and economic sustainability contribute to the attractiveness of the location. This year, together with the c_change membrane technology from Schoeller, Metris AG from Au (2nd prize) and isofloc AG from Bütschwil (3rd prize) were among the honorees.
