Men's knitted wear export rises

Men's knitted trouser exports reached 364 million pieces in the first five months of 2007, an increase of 14.50 percent over the same period last year.

Export value marked around US $1.3 billion, a rise of 85.82 percent against the same time previous fiscal year.

Average export price stood at $3.60 per piece, climbing 62.16 percent as compared to similar period of over earlier year.

In the first five month of 2007, men's knitted swim wear exports marked 29.41 million pieces, mounting to roughly 15.8 percent during the parallel period of last year.

Export value stood at $53.11 million, a surge of 83.61 percent over the same time last year.

Average export price stood at $1.81 per piece, up 58.77 percent compared to corresponding period year before.

Exports of knitted robes for men touched around 15.4 million pieces during January to May, this year, showing a boost by 114 percent against the same time previous financial year.

Export value amounted to $54.17 million, climbing 257.29 percent. The average export price stood at $3.51 per piece, a growth of 66.35 percent over the corresponding time of last year.
