Pitti Uomo menswear trends blend harmony & ecology

Once again Florence hosted 'an energy filled edition' of Pitti Uomo which saw 710 exhibitors display there exciting collections. As usual the event took hold of the entire city, where over 120 fashion related events took place.

The fair was extremely busy this season confirming Pitti Uomo's status as the leading trade show for men's quality fashion, “it's the first and most important international event of the season” commented Elisabetta Giannini from Cose in Cremona.

A total of 21,219 buyers attended the show of which an impressive 8,472 came from outside Italy; with the number of visitors from India almost doubling which was a great result. There was also an excellent turn out from the eastern European emerging markets including Poland, and Russia where the number of stores there has risen by 20.2%.

The general feeling from the show was that menswear fashion is making a come back and showing real signs of making a full recovery.

This season Diesel was the guest of honour at the show creating the perfect partnership with Pitti. The Italian premium denim group affirmed its position as one of the leading international lifestyle brands with a spectacular multi event including a dazzling fashion show for selected buyers and press.

Diesel convey everything that Pitti Uomo stands for in terms of globalisation, innovation, trend-led design and energy.

Trends:
'Harmony' and 'Ecology' were the integral themes for the show and they complemented each other beautifully.
