The Ministry of Trade's Asia – Pacific Department, in a move to improve trade relations with several countries in the Asia–Pacific region, announced that the ministry has taken initiatives to send a business team to Australia and New Zealand in October of this year.
Nearly 20 enterprises will be operating in the sectors such as textile - garment, footwear and handicraft import to link with this team.
This move is a part of the trade promotion program of 2005 to create opportunities for local companies to hold up trade partnership with the Australian and New Zealand's firms, and to boost exports to this substantial market.
