• CENTRAL TEXTILES (Hong Kong): the largest Asian spinner of core spun stretch fibre. They offer pure and blended cotton yarns, as well as a range of organic cotton and other environmentally-friendly fibres (bamboo, rayon…). Their main outlets are knitting (flat bed and circular) and apparel weaving.
• HOMER CHING (Taiwan) offers a very wide range of fancy fibres (loops, chenilles, chines, tweeds, neps, slubs, kemps) which are used in flat-bed (pullovers, scarves, gloves) and circular knitting.
Also returning to Expofil is RAUMER, a famous producer of worsted yarns, classic and fancy, used for flat-bed knitting and weaving. In terms of its offering, Expofil consolidates its position in the markets of yarns used for weaving and circular knitting, notably thanks to the proximity of Première Vision. This offering is also largely derived from consumer demand for good value-added products to which European spinners are turning.
Innovations led by fibre producers and spinners in the use of new technologies allow them to regularly introduce new items to the market, which respond to demand. These are products relying on performance or comfort, and which also respond to expectations linked to raised environmental or ethical awareness.
In the yarns for flat-bed knitting segment of the market, the offering has a foothold in numerous collections with classic yarns using top of the range materials designed for hosiery and ready-to-wear brands. Finally, we also find in the exhibition a strong offering of highly fancy yarn collections destined for hand knitting and knitting markets.
