According to Statistics Estonia, the percentage change of the consumer price index in September 2007 compared to September 2006 was 7.2%.
The price change was as follows:
• goods 4.9%
• manufactured goods 3.5%
• services 11.6%
At the same time administered prices changed 7.4% and non-administered prices 7.2%. The increase in housing expenditures and the rise in the prices of food had the greatest influence on the index.
On average, the prices of goods and services in September 2007 were 1.1% higher than in August 2007.
In September 2007 compared to August the consumer price index was mainly influenced by the seasonal increase in the prices of clothing.
Change of the consumer price index by commodity groups, September 2007:
• Clothing and footwear 2.0%
• Transport 0.7%
