Suzhou to set up standards for silk quilt

The advent of winter has warmed up the sale of silk quilt in Suzhou city in Jiangsu Province. However, huge difference in prices and quality for most of the brands available is baffling the consumers.
In order to change the existing phenomenon, Suzhou University is making efforts to become the only authoritative institution which will set the test measurement standard and the grade of the silk quilt in domestic market.
Since long Suzhou has been an important centre for Chinese silk industry and known for one of the main producers of the domestic silk quilt. The region can boast of having over 40 silk quilt manufacturing enterprises only in Wujiang. TAIHUXUE, one of the high quality silk quilt brand, is quite prominent through out the country.
Quilting requires very simple machine works procedure. Thus, more number of small silk quilt manufacturing factories have entered into this arena in recent years, intermingling the superior and inferior quality. In order to reduce the confusion among the consumers, a series of standards are made.
This will give the local quilt manufacturers a good chance to launch their brand successfully and create a good market for the same.
