Pradip plans an optimistic retail foray

While discussing about the company's overseas expansion policy the Executive Director informed, “We are mulling over some joint ventures and acquisitions of US-based textile companies for manufacturing or marketing of our brands in this region. We also have offices in Dubai, Canada, Czech Republic and in last December, we have opened an office in America. There are plans to open another one on Germany with in next two months.

“Our International clients are Franco Manufacturing Company in America which is the 1st largest unit in America, Marimac Inc in Canada, Grada Textiles in Germany, Vetro-Plus in Czech Republic.”

The 115 hectares Pradip Overseas' textile Special Economic Zone (SEZ) near Bagodara is also shaping up with an investment of Rs1,200 crores. This SEZ will help the company in increasing its present output capacity apart from setting up its own spinning, weaving and processing units.

Talking about the future of the Company, Mr Garg said, “In next two year our target is to reach a output of 5 lakh meters per day. The projected turn over for the fiscal year, 2007-08 is around Rs$150 million. We also plan to come up with our own brand name in the recent future.”
