Printed and dyed cloth production of China rose to nearly 5.086 billion meters in December 2007, showing a growth of 12.74 percent over the previous month, according to the data released by National Bureau of Statistics.
Output of Xinjiang and Liaoning Provinces registered 1.26 and 49.75 million meters, an increase of around 117 and 107 percent, in December.
China's total annual output of printed and dyed cloth was almost 49 billion meters, an annual rise of about 8.3 percent, in 2007. Gansu Province recorded the highest growth of 391.84 percent, while production of Guizhou Province declined by 48.8 percent.
Printed and dyed cloth output in Zhejiang Province reached 26.819 billion meters, a boost of 11.05 percent, slightly higher than the national average level.
