Oman International Trade and Exhibition (OITE), with the support of Embassy of India and Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) organized the 'The India Show' from February 13 to 16, 2008, to promote bilateral trade developments between India and Oman.
H E Eng Ahmed Bin Hassan Al Dheeb, Under-secretary at the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MOCI), inaugurated the event which was held at the Oman International Exhibition Center.
Sponsors of the exhibition included Omar Zawawi Establishment L.L.C (OMZEST) and Oman India Fertilizer Company (OMIFCO). Innumerable products including textile, home furnishing, handicraft and jewelries were displayed at the expo by enterprises having a big name in their respective fields.
Leather products as well as goods made from silk, cotton and woolen fabrics attracted a huge crowd. Indian companies that participated in the fair includes Jiico Exports Pvt Ltd, Malvia Exports, Monaco Import Export, Rabindra Enterprises, Ritu Arts, S S Foundry Chemical Industries Pvt Ltd, and Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics Export Promotion Council.
