Proposed new member of Royal DSM Supervisory Board

DSM proposes appointing Mrs Louise Gunning-Schepers as a member of its Supervisory Board.
Mrs Gunning (56, Dutch nationality) is Chairman of the Executive Board of the Academic Medical Centre of the University of Amsterdam and Dean of the Medical Faculty of the University of Amsterdam.
She studied medicine and public health at Groningen University (Netherlands) and at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in Baltimore (USA). She earned a doctorate in Public Health at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam (Netherlands).
Mrs Gunning-Schepers is also a member of the Dutch Health Council, the Board of the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Foundation Committee, the Board of Arbo Unie and the Board of Sanquin.
Her proposed appointment as a member of the DSM Supervisory Board will be submitted for approval to the next DSM Annual General Meeting of shareholders on 26 March 2008.
