In order to upgrade the technical skills of people working in apparel sector and cater to the growing demand of garment industry, Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) has opened Apparel Training and Design Centres (ATDC) nation wide.

Presently, there are more than 39 training centers in cities like Faridabad, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Kanpur, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. The council plans to spread its wings further by opening nearly 70 new training institutes by the end of this year.

ATDC, so far, has trained more than 30,300 people, who are fulfilling the need of garment industry.

With more centres to come up in near future the textile industry can get some relief and expect more skilled employees for better functioning.
