Experts believe that it will be difficult for the Government to bring down the market prices all by itself as demand from China will continue to rise in 2008-09.
Predictions made by United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) holds that world consumption is likely to increase to 129.5 million bales in 2008-09. However, production will drop by 6.5 million bales.
Ginners and weaving mills are still hoping that by de-clogging the supply chain and other remedial measure, the Government will make efforts to bring relief to the garment industry.
