The seminar entitled “Microfinance: Towards the Inclusion of All.” was organized in collaboration with the FELABAN Latin American bank federation and its Argentine chapter. FELABAN members include more than 600 financial entities in 19 countries in the region.
During the seminar Latin American financial institutions will share their experiences of developing business models to reach microentrepreneurs with products and services tailored to their needs. Different panels will cover topics such as:
• the trend of an increasing number of commercial banks entering microfinance in Latin America;
• the business models and strategies banks in Latin America are using to target this segment;
• key success indicators to provide profitable credit and savings services to microentrepreneurs; and
• the regulatory framework needed to encourage the development of the microfinance industry in Argentina.
