MEGATEX 2008 brings Intl textile cos together

MEGATEX Pakistan 2008, one of the biggest textile exhibitions, kicked off yesterday and will continue to pull crowd till April 18, at Karachi Expo Centre.

Manufacturers and buyers related to textile sector come here to showcase their products from various parts of world.

The four day garment and textile machinery expo generates huge amount of interest among the domestic as well as global enterprises. It provides an excellent opportunity for purchasers and suppliers to come face to face and venture into beneficial business deals.

This year more than 160 companies from 22 nations, including Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, have put up their products for display.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Nasreen Jalil, Naib City Nazim, The City District Government Karachi(CDGK).

To further boost the flourishing sector, CDGK has allotted land in city for bringing up five industrial zones to encourage textile industry and generate employment.
