Barbados' CARICOM Youth Ambassador, Donna Greene, will be officially installed as Dean of the Regional Ambassadors' Corps at next week's CARICOM Youth Ambassadors Induction and Orientation Meeting to be held here.
Scheduled to take place from April 21 to 23 at United Nations House, Marine Gardens, Christ Church, the meeting will address training in the areas of advocacy, governance and the Caribbean Single Market and Economy (CSME). The various Ambassadors will also speak about their role in the CARICOM Commission on Youth Development as well as network with local youth leaders.
The forum will also provide an opportunity for the orientation of the Youth Ambassadors to their responsibilities. They are expected to discuss the benefits and opportunities available under the CARICOM Youth Ambassadors Programme and their involvement in the refinement of the draft 2008-2010 Regional Strategic Framework.
Minister of Youth Affairs, Dr. Esther Byer-Suckoo, will give the keynote address at Monday's opening ceremony.
