Japan surfaced as the largest exporter of machinery to Taiwan selling $1.337 billion worth of machinery in the first two months of this year, up 38.7 percent year-on-year and accounting for 44.3 percent of the total imports. US took the second place with $696.93 million, up 10.8 percent and commanding 23.1 percent. China and Hong Kong together ranked third with $237.62 million, up 13.9 and commanding 7.9. The fourth place went to Germany with $234.37 million, up 35.6 percent.
