High crude fail to affect Asian pure benzene market

According to reports, although crude oil and naphtha prices fell down, it failed to affect Asian pure benzene market price which touched US $1,159 per ton (FOB Korea) on April 30, setting a record high in last three years,.

South Korean company CML sold one cargo to BP at the price of $1155 per ton (FOB Korea) for June shipments. Shortly after the transaction, Vitol sold to BASF International one cargo at $1159 per ton, each lot was in 3,000 tons.

Following the Korean market, another transaction was made where in, 1,000 tons of Benzene were sold in Japan's spot market at the price of $1,160 per ton (Negishi / FOB Kawasaki).
