Pure benzene market likely to stay steady

High crude prices on May 14, fail to affect the sentiment of Asian pure benzene market outside China, which looked flat. Domestic market remained dull, however, trade volume and negotiations was the usual trend.

In the Asian markets, pure benzene closed at US $1232-1233 per ton, unchanged from the previous day. The intended price level of purchasers in the market increased to $1,215 per ton, FOB Korea, whereas sellers on the other hand asked for $1,250 per ton, FOB Korea; the gap between buyers and sellers was huge.

On the domestic grounds, pure benzene market prices were stable, in East China market price was at 9250-9400 yuan per ton, in the Southern region prices was at 9350-9400 yuan per ton and in the Northern part price stood at 9200-9400 yuan per ton.

Experts expect that with the even market turnover and fair negotiations, domestic pure benzene market will stay in steadiness in coming days.

Pure benzene prices from major domestic enterprises May 14

Daqing Petrochemical price marked at 9000 Yuan per ton, up 150 Yuan from the previous day; price offered within petrochemical industrial system was at 9000 Yuan per ton, no change from the previous day.

Jinzhou Petrochemical price offered at 9000 Yuan per ton, flat from the previous session.

Jilin Petrochemical price was at 9000 Yuan per ton, up 150 Yuan from the previous day; however, offers with in the factory stood at 9000 Yuan per ton, similar to previous day.
