Ineos, is the third largest chemical company of the world, with production network comprising 76 manufacturing units, spread over 20 countries world wide. Its Grangemouth refinery located in Scotland, is presently going through a rough phase.
First, it was the two day strike and after that a fire broke out on May 10, at the 200,000 barrels per day refinery.
In an exclusive interview with Fibre2fashion, official spokes person from the company, disclosed, “A small fire broke out when some oil spilt on to pipe work. However, currently the facility is running and we are hopeful to restart the plant at full capacity, and restoration of the plant will be in step by step, and for that we need to take precise precautions.”
“We are investigating to determine the precise reasons for the fire. No injuries and damage are registered” reported the source.
