TEA E-Readiness Centre encourages manufacturing competitiveness

In a Press release issued Shri. A. Sakthivel, President, TEA informed that TEA E-Readiness Centre set up under aegis of Project Vikas (All India Government Initiative to promote the usage of ICT in Small and Medium businesses to help for increasing productivity and performance) by Tirupur Exporters' Association to enhance the manufacturing competitiveness of all business units like Garment units, knitting, processing, printing and all other suppliers of yarns, trims, accessories and other machineries is being launched on Friday, the 6th June 2008 at 6.00 p.m. in India Knit Fair (IKF) Complex, Tirupur.

Shri. Pongalur N. Palaniswamy, Hon'ble Minister for Rural Industries and Animal Husbandry, Government of Tamilnadu will inaugurate the TEA E Readiness Centre.

Shri. M. Sahoo, I.A.S., Chief (Joint Secretary) National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council, New Delhi and Shri. Rajeev Ranjan, I.A.S., Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce, Government of Tamilnadu will offer felicitations.

Shri. Ravi Venkatesan, Chairman, Microsoft Corporation (India) Pvt Ltd, is also participating in the function.
