Organic cotton and recycled cotton softened with a substance derived from the "cupuaçu" fruit, which grows in the northern state of Amazon, were one of the novelties present in the bed, table, bath collections launched by Karsten at Texfair.

One of the most important textile companies of Brazil, “Karsten is aware of the increasing demand for eco-conscious products”, says Luciana Fomzar Andrade, Marketing Manager.

According to a research carried out by the Akatu Institute, 74% of Brazilians demonstrate intention to buy items that do not degrade the environment.

Manufactured in 200 thread count organic percale, or in 300 thread count satin jacquard bed and bath sets are examples of the company's concern for sustainability, well illustrated by effluent treatment of cotton and the cleaning of the river that runs in to the compound.

A pioneer in the protection of the ecosystem, Karsten is a trustee of the Öko-Tex seal since 1995. Karsten published early in May the results of the 1st trimester, showing a net profit of R$ 4,9 million.

With over 125 years of operation, Karsten is based in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, with a branch in Maracanaú, in the State of Ceará. The company's productive capacity is 2,200 million meters per month.
